Molega Tours is proud to offer the Questing Series for Wildlife. The wildlife in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador are numerous. Join us on trip to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and capture the wildlife. The time of year and weather patterns play a lot in where and when we can see the wildlife, in some cases this means that we will have to travel by boat. As safety is our main concern, it will be the captain of the boats that will make the final decision if the weather is good enough to travel.
Below is a rough itinerary. The first two days and the last day should not change, but please keep in mind that this is a questing tour, and the other sites may change to get the best viewing of Wildlife.
||Departure from your home and arrive into Halifax, Nova Scotia, where you will join your traveling companions, and take some time to catch you breath before the tour begins.
||Today you travel along the Trans Canada Highway to the town of Baddeck. This morning we will make a quick stop and a Wildlife Park just outside of Halifax. This will give you an idea of what to expect during your travels in Nova Scotia. We then continue to Truro where we will stop for lunch. By mid afternoon we hope to arrive in Baddeck. After we check in we will take a short boat ride to see the birds on the Bras D'or Lakes.
||We will have an early morning as we have a long travel day today. This morning after breakfast we will travel to Bird Island. We will join a boat tour of the famous Bird Island. Thousands of Birds flock to the area for nesting and feeding. After your boat tour we travel to North Sydney. We will have lunch before loading on the ferry to Newfoundland. This will be an evening crossing, so supper will be on your own on board. Depending on weather conditions, we should arrive in Port aux Basque by 11:00 pm and check into your hotel.
||Today is another travel day. After Breakfast at the Hotel we will travel north along the coast through the mountains to Corner Brook, which after a short highlighted tour we will have lunch. After lunch we will travel to the remote areas of Newfoundland. Depending on the weather we should be able to make a stop to see Salmon jumping up the waterfalls. We will then continue into Gros Morne National Park your home for the next two nights.
||Today we will spend time exploring the Park. This is an option day. The Tablelands may interest some, others may wish to take the Western Brook Pond tour, others may wish to travel by boat on Bonne Bay. Others may just want to walk around the park. The day is up to you. Transportation will be provided no matter what your choice..
||Today is a travel day to Twillingate. During the day we will make stops for wildlife. Depending on the weather we will make may stops on route. As wildlife is part of nature, the stop will be made, when ever possible.
||This morning we will take a boat tour in Twillingate. The boat will depend on the number of people on this tour. We will spend the morning questing for whales and Ice Bergs. After lunch we then travel on to Clarenville, which will be you home for the night. During our travels, stops will be made on route.
||This morning we will enter Terra Nova Park. Today is another option day. Your can either walk the trails of the park and see wildlife or take a boat trip of Terra Nova Park to see the different birds. After lunch we will make our journey to St. John's your home for the night.
||After breakfast at the hotel we travel to Bay Bulls to take a Wildlife Boat tour of the area. We will have lunch in Bay Bulls before continuing on our way to Cape St. Mary's, depending on what we see along the way, we may have a quick visit to the Cape St. Mary's Reserve. We will then continue to St. Brides your home for the night.
